What Makes a Technology Tool Worth Keeping?

Most of us have a tool we return to every day because it makes work easier. For me, when I wrote the original article, that tool was Evernote.

I used it to capture meeting notes, organize ideas and projects, and keep track of personal goals. Having a searchable notebook available across my devices helped me stay organized.

The useful question is why it works

Your essential tool might support team communication, project tracking, or another everyday task. The name matters less than how well it fits your work.

• Does it reduce effort instead of adding another step?

• Can you find the information you need when you need it?

• Does it fit your team's access and information-handling requirements?

• Is it useful enough that people continue using it after the rollout?
